SJPBAC MEETING SET for May 4, 2007

          The SJPBAC will meet on Friday, May 4, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. EST (NOT the usual 1:00 p.m. start time) at the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners Chambers, 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr., Boulevard, Port St. Joe, Florida.  Coastal Engineer Michael Dombrowski will report on the status of our permits, the results of the pre-bid meeting with the dredging operators and the overall status of the project.  Committee reports, project time line and other items will also be reviewed.

EROSION CONTROL LINE PUBLIC WORKSHOP & HEARING SET         

           The Public Workshop on the establishment of the Erosion Control Line for the St. Joseph Peninsula Erosion Control Project is set for 1:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, May 22, 2007, at the Gulf County Board of County Commissioners Chambers, 1000 Cecil G. Costin, Sr., Boulevard, Port St. Joe, Florida.  The workshop will immediately be followed by the Public Hearing on the Erosion Control Line.  It is important to note, the Erosion Control Line, or ECL, and these hearings have nothing to do with the Coastal Construction Control Line, or CCCL, that has been the subject of much discussion recently.  This workshop and hearing will only pertain to the Erosion Control Line, or ECL, as required to be established as a part of the beach restoration project.  A copy of the notice sent to all affected property owners can be viewed by clicking here.
